How to Use the GIF Maker

Four simple steps — no account, no software install, no waiting.

Select your images

Choose two or more JPG, PNG or WebP files. Selection order becomes playback order.

Set timing & size

Pick how long each frame shows (in milliseconds) and an output width — 480px is great for sharing.

Create the GIF

Images are normalized to a common canvas and encoded into a looping GIF with an optimized palette.

Download

Preview your animation and save it — no watermarks, ever.

Build Custom Animations from Still Images

A GIF maker is the reverse of every other tool on this site: instead of taking animations apart, it builds them. Feed it a sequence of images — photos, screenshots, drawings, rendered frames — and it produces a smooth, infinitely looping GIF you can share anywhere without players, uploads or accounts.

What People Create

  • Photo slideshows — vacation moments or product angles cycling in one compact file.
  • Before / after reveals — two frames at 1000ms each make the classic comparison loop.
  • Stop-motion animation — shoot a sequence of small movements and play them at 100–200ms.
  • Frame-by-frame art — drawn animation exported from any art app as numbered PNGs.
  • UI walkthroughs — screenshots of each step, cycling automatically in documentation.
  • Rebuilt GIFs — frames extracted with our splitter, edited, and reassembled here.

Getting the Timing Right

Frame delay is the difference between an animation and a slideshow. As a rule of thumb: 100–200ms feels like motion (stop-motion, drawn animation), 500ms reads as a brisk slideshow, and 1000–2000ms gives viewers time to actually study each image. When in doubt, start at 500ms and adjust after previewing — creating a new version takes seconds.

Tips for Clean Results

  • Name files in order (01.png, 02.png…) so multi-select picks them up in sequence.
  • Use same-sized images when possible; mixed sizes are letterboxed onto the first image's canvas.
  • 480px width keeps files shareable; choose Original only when detail truly matters.
  • Compress afterwards — the GIF compressor typically shaves another 30–60% off your creation.

Frequently Asked Questions
